Dentures, or false teeth, are removable prosthetics used to replace missing teeth and the surrounding tissue. Dentures may be required if you have severe tooth loss due to trauma to the mouth, advanced tooth decay or old age. They can be complete dentures to replace all teeth or partial dentures to fill in a gap or missing tooth. By filling in where a significant amount of teeth have been lost, dentures often make it easier to speak as well as to chew and eat food. They can improve and restore the appearance of your smile and have a remarkable life span of 5 to 10 years. Not only do dentures appear natural, but you can care for them the same as you do your natural teeth as well.
The simple process:
A consultation with Dr. Vinson will help determine what type of dentures best fit you – complete or partial.
Models of your mouth will be made to ensure proper dimensions and jaw positioning. We will also make sure that the color, shape and fit are all a perfect match for you.
The molds and measurements will be sent to a dental laboratory where your dentures will be created.
One final appointment will help guarantee that your dentures fit comfortably and your smile is flawless.
